Our Story
Adhikam Health was founded with a simple observation: transformative healthcare technologies already exist, but millions of people can't access them due to cost and distribution challenges. Rather than waiting for new breakthroughs, we focus on getting proven solutions into the hands of people who need them.
Our first program emerged from witnessing the devastating impact of ALS on patients and families in India. While eye-tracking communication devices have transformed lives for ALS patients in developed countries, their $3,500+ price tag puts them out of reach for most Indian families already struggling with overwhelming medical costs.
We're starting by addressing this specific gap, but our vision extends much further. We aim to build a sustainable model for identifying high-impact assistive technologies and creating distribution networks that serve underserved communities globally.
Why This Matters
Healthcare innovation often focuses on developing new treatments and technologies. While research is critical, we believe there's a parallel crisis: proven, life-changing solutions sitting unused because of access barriers.
